Registration now open https://www.bikereg.com/net/sansom-66ish

Is this the toughest endurance mountain bike event in North Texas? Many will attempt it, few will complete it. Time restrictions are tight, margin for error is slim and the course is difficult. Sansom Park is NOT your typical urban mountain bike trail. 1500' of elevation per each 11 mile lap through loose rock climbs and descents and nary a straightaway over 200 feet long. The trail is fun and challenging and we're doing every bit of it!

Field is limited to a maximum of 100 participants. We expect to sell out before the day of event but you never know for sure. Event will be rescheduled if weather creates an issue.

This is a distance event with a timed cutoff(s) not a timed endurance event. Finish times will be logged DNF unless all laps are completed within the allotted time.

Solo (Elite) Century of 6 laps but with a cutoff based on 90 minute laps (must begin 6th lap by 4:30 pm). 6 laps is going to be very tough to complete. You don't have to be Pro or Cat 1 to participate but we may limit this field to experienced single track endurance racers based on the technical difficulty of the course.

Solo (Sport) Half Century of 3 laps with no cutoff time. 3 laps in a day will be plenty tough for most mortals. This should be an extremely well rounded field.

2 Person Relay (Men, Women, Co-ed) 6 laps with a cutoff based on 90 minute laps. Relayers must alternate laps so each rider must ride 3 laps for the team to complete the course. No individual rider will be allowed to ride consecutive laps. The relay teams were extremely fun when we did Hell on Wheels at Northshore. I'm really look forward to doing another event with the relays.

Been tossing it back and forth on whether or not to do it again. I have ridden sansom 6 times since last years sansom 66. Last year all but killed me. Not committed to doing it yet, but seriously thinking it about it more than ever now. I would do it Ss again because I really don't think I could complete it with gears. Different muscles required as ar as I'm concerned. It's still one heck of a feather in your hat to complete this.

Dawg Deal is free entry for SS. We're probably retiring SS after this one. It would be nice to have a good showing. PM me for a coupon code.

Hit the new(ish) JoJo's loop out at Sansom for the first time today. Everyone who's been wanting to do Joel's Loop backwards should really dig this. I'm honestly not sure that 6 solo laps will happen this year. JoJo's isn't that long or that hard by itself but added to the mix it may just be the tipping point. Thinking about cutting out Joel's or JoJo's one or the other. Thoughts?

I would not take joel's out. That is signature of the trail in my opinion. Jojo's on the other hand is a nice add to the park but to add or change something up from last year?, I could do with out.
