It's on. The Phase 2 trail is ready to enjoy. It needs your help putting some tires in the dirt and keeping the growth knocked back.

I'll be at the regular trailhead around 6pm and will lead a ride out shortly after for any folks wanting a guide.

The Phase 2 stuff is good to go. At this time, I think it's best to consider it a bi-directional piece of singletrack. It can be ridden as an out and back from either entry point, or it can be ridden as a complete loop.

First Street entry point: Go East on E. 1st Street, over the river on the South side of the road there is a maintenance gate for the methane burnoff. This is the gate we have been using for the workdays. We have installed a narrow T-post bike gate next to the FWMBA.

I-30 entry point: Backtrack on the Trinity trail towards Beach street. After crossing to the South side of the river via the water crossing, turn East. Follow the mowed river bank to the East until you see a mowed path back toward the gas pipeline. There is a dogleg in the path, but the mowing is very clear for what the "on" and "off" trail path is. This will put you on course for the I30 easement. When you get close to the highway, there's a concrete swale dumping into a ditch. Make a sharp left just past the swale and enter the bench cut done during the April workday. You'll make a nice climb up around to the right. Once on top of the hill you'll cross the pipeline downhill towards the highway. You should pick up the mowed path again here. The mowed path should guide you clearly to the trail entrance further to the East.

We'll work to get some more markings up to simplify the turns.

I'll have a better GPS track of the "loop" after Thursday. I have some pre-riding we did a while back plotted here:
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/148459020

I'll have a small grill for the after ride.

I'll shoot for this, too. Shannon, I can throw that frame in the truck if you think you can make it.

I'll have some smoked sausages, tortillas, and mustard.

Kocian is 50/50, so your grill might be MIA. I'll have my crappy grill.
