Is anyone linking WRL to Santa Fe to Katy? Is it worth it? How do you link Santa Fe to Katy?

Thanks.

yes. i ride santa fe from downtown to wrl from time to time. it pops you out over there on lawther near that climb before you come to the stop sign at lakewood. (3 way stop everyone runs)

to get from santa fe to katy, i usually ride main west until it turns into young (i think is what it is there), and then make a right on market (north) cut through west end and down by HOB, then up to the south trailhead.

I think I see the route. Main turns into Canton and Canton turns into Young and then Young turns into Wood before you hit Market but it looks like that's pretty much what you're talking about as best I can tell.

What do you take on the way back south instead of Market? Houston I suppose?

yep, you got it. I forgot how it turned to canton for a while, and young runs east and wood runs west maybe, but you get the idea. when i cross the bridge going south, i take houston. it's a marked bike route pretty much the whole way i described, if i'm not mistaken. i've done it around rush hour after work many times and traffic is never too big of a deal.

if you are heading from downtown to the santa fe, just remember to be looking to the right when you cross the dart tracks after doublewide bar....there is a little jog to get onto the trail there...otherwise you get can get stuck on "main" and have to go a ways until you can make a right and get on santa fe at one of the crossings. i forget the name of the road that i turn on after the tracks, but it comes up pretty quick after them.

What is this Santa Fe trail? I'm on the Katy quite a bit, but it just goes from HP down to AA center, north and south. How do you get east?
