Ride the NETT Spring Edition is coming 5/3! Still hammering out all of the details but the ride format will be very similar to the fall version, just during the beauty of Sping instead. Coupon code nettpage is good for a $10 discount until 3/1 or the first 25 times it's used. https://www.bikereg.com/Net/22946

A quick reminder about our Spring Edition of Ride the NETT on 5/3. The trail all the way to Pecan Gap is getting ridden in nicely, so don't be afraid to stretch it some if you stopped in Ladonia last time. I expect it to be gorgeous out there around that time.

Check out the pics below for our Ladonia facilities for Spring Ride the NETT on 5/3. It's about 35 miles from Farmersville to Ladonia. We'll have snacks and drinks and pies available all day so everyone is welcome to hit the party palace. We'll have the smoker cranking for an evening feast for the campers and who knows what else? This should be fun!

Cover and shelter is available just in case but plan on tent camping. No RV hookups.

We probably have room for 500 or 600 people. Fire ring, 43 acres of woods, ponds, trails, etc.

Primitive camping but access to showers, toilets and electricity.

Here's the place we get to use for camping and festivities in Ladonia on 5/3. Camping and festivities are included with your entry fee. You can even park a car up here the day before if you want a short pedal day.

Saturday morning from Farmersville! The weather looks to be amazing. Camping and evening BBQ in Ladonia are included with registration. Please let us know if you plan to camp or come up for BBQ so we can be sure to have enough. Campers have routes ranging from 35 to 85 miles.
Please be sure to show your appreciation to our host cities of Farmersville, Wolfe City and Ladonia. They are going all out for us so please tour them on your bikes and appreciate the history and architecture of the area.
Coupon code nett10 saves you $10 online. Day of registration will be available as well. https://www.bikereg.com/ride-the-nett

Spring Ride the NETT Notes and Tips

The ride begins at 9:00 AM with a riders' meeting at 8:45. Please try to be there by 8:15 to park and sign waivers. CAMPERS, please park at City Hall if your vehicle will be staying in Farmersville overnight. Here is a map to staging and the two parking areas: http://goo.gl/maps/wWn1R

There have been some reports of some downed trees and face slappers starting to go crazy. Feel free to bring hand tools (folding saw and/or hand clippers) for trimming and do a bit of maintenance coming and going. If each rider takes 10 minutes of the day to do a little trimming the trail will be great through the summer. Thanks in advance!

This one is a very casual affair so just get on your bike and enjoy the scenery and history surrounding this fantastic resource available to us. Riders are welcome to ride as much or as little as they want to. There is no need for trail markings on the NETT and it's usually very easy to find if you do some exploring through the different towns. Please make a point to tour Farmersville, Wolfe City and Ladonia. They are all bending over backwards for us.

Our camping facilities/ride HQ will be in Ladonia. All riders who make it to Ladonia are encourage to swing by for a piece of pie and water refill. Camping/pie are a couple of blocks from the NETT at the end of Depot Street http://goo.gl/maps/gEpXS

Ladonia and back makes for about a 70 mile ride. Riders wanting more mileage can take the NETT to Pecan Gap and from there we will have a marked gravel/roads section that take the round about way back to Ladonia. Campers will stay in Ladonia, day riders will take the NETT back to Farmersville. That makes for about an 82 mile day for campers or 114 for day trippers. Here's a map/cue sheet that inlcudes the gravel lollipop but not mileage back to Farmersville on the NETT: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/4585594

Camping, evening BBQ and Sunday breakfast in Ladonia are included with your entry. Non campers are welcome to drive back to Ladonia for some BBQ and socializing as well. Feel free to email us if you have any other questions.

The Spinistry Crew
