What happens at the Fort Worth Fat Tire Festival?

The Festival (a fund raiser for FWMBA) will celebrate all things mountain bike including music, food trucks, beverages, special mountain bike events, industry insider vendors, opportunities to join FWMBA, FWMBA t-shirts, the always popular Fat Boy Crit and the chance to ride all the single track mountain bike trails at Gateway Park surrounded by a cool mountain bike vibe.

Why are we having a Mountain Bike Festival? To promote the spirit of mountain biking!

The 2014 4th Annual Fort Worth Fat Tire Festival at Gateway Park Benefiting FWMBA is a fundraiser - and we all love mountain biking! The miles of delicious single track at MSP and Gateway cost $$$ to build, maintain, and operate. FWMBA must raise thousands of dollars every year on its own behalf to finance the purchase and rental of tools, tool maintenance and insurance to indemnify the city and all sorts of incidentals. We do this so you can enjoy these two fantastic trails free of charge. We also cannot think of a better way to end the trail building season than having a big Fat Tire Festival to celebrate our trails.

How do I attend such a cool festival?

Head to Gateway Park with your bike on Sunday, June 8 from 9:00 am till 3:00 pm. Entry into the festival requires a $15 donation to FWMBA. If you are a family of 4 or more, you pay only $40.

Where is Gateway Park?

Is there a trail map of Gateway Park available?
Yes! Check out . . . http://fwmba.org/gateway/

What if I’m a Vendor, Bicycle Industry Insider, and/or Bicycle Hipster and I want to set up a tent, awning, or trailer to promote my product or service at the Festival?

FWMBA would love for anyone and everyone in the bicycle business, supporters of the bicycle business, or simply bicycle lovers to be at the Festival to promote their product or service. There are no fees or reservations for booths. In fact, there are no booths. You are responsible for your event infrastructure (aka: booths, pop-ups, tents, etc.). All you have to do is make your $15 donation to FWMBA upon entering the Festival grounds.
All Vendors, Bicycle Industry Insiders, and/or Bicycle Hipsters must report to the Gateway Park parking director located at the event registration no later than 8:30 am.

It is with regret that the Fort Worth Mountain Bikers’ Association (FWMBA) has decided to postpone the 2014 4th Annual Fort Worth Fat Tire Festival at Gateway Park. With the impending arrival of morning storms and rain, the timing of the rain and likelihood of the event running into a deficit the Festival organizers made the decision to postpone the event to a later date. Tentatively, the 4th Annual Fort Worth Fat Tire Festival will be rescheduled to Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 9:00am till 3:00pm.

Please forward this announcement to any friends, family and associates that may have planned on attending today’s Festival.

It’s a bummer that we’ve been rained out. However, we do need the rain!
