Pfff, Booker and Adam Phillips were pulling monsters for a lot of the race. Dromgoole would get up there in the wind and kill it too. I was trying to hang onto this animal. We came around a loose curve of big gravel and headEd up a climb and the group began to unravel. Hurt like no other. it really sux to fall off the back and watch the group slowly disappear and there's nothing you can do about it. For 42 miles I hung on, and that is something I've never been able to do. Loved the experience of riding amongst fast names.

Monday night argyle gravel, pizza and stuffed bell peppers are paying off.
And of course the training from Susan Dean. And some small insights from some of you other fags on here that I hang onto.

Seriously though, congrats. Hanging with those guys is no small feat.

Good times.

My job was to drill it from the start and set tempo...big effort day...then get off the front for the last 20mi.

Dropped my chain up the last steep climb (mile 41) before the South pavement into the wind. Had to stop and dislodge it.

Alone into a 25MPH headwind, I wasn't getting back on...picked up a few folks along the way...made a couple of stops for folks- just to have them punk me with a couple of miles to go.

Hey Booker, do you realize that "gotta" is slang for "got to"?

The quote is from a person who's first language is not English. For continuity, the last word should be "chews" or "choos" (Spanish footwear).

Guess it's one of those "you'd have to have been there" sort of deals... kind of glad I wasn't.

It was fun pickin off 2 or 3 riders with ya Shannon. Good job out there.

I kept thinking about something Chaos said once, "Expect the wind and you won't be fucking disappointed. Yeah man."

I was alone from mile 30 with a flat. I thought I did an ok share of the work when I caught you guys. I Just wanted to git-r-done.

Super ride by the big Bonzai guy.

I didn't realize you were out that early. I seen you towards the front most of the time. Thanks for pulling me for sure. I would be the bonzai guy. Just wishing I wasn't big. Lol. Makes the hills be a bit easier.
