I'm interested, but non-committal at the moment. Gotta see what is happening around that time. The wifey's b-day is the week before so not sure when we're celebrating...

12:13. I had no intention of going down there, but my 18 yr old son got wind of it and figured that since he had done 40 miles on his road bike once, he could pull it off. I figured we would be well into the night, but we finished without lights. 113 starters, 88 finishers, we were 59, 60. The fast guys, Winkleman, Barkley, Tristan Uhl, were 5 hours ahead of us. Beasts.

I think I'm going to call the Sierra Club and tell them I saw a family of spotted owls down there. It had just rained when we hit it. I would have been faster if I had left my bike at the trailhead. It might be interesting if it was dry and I didn't have 9 hours in my legs.
