I'm doing my best, Bohn. Everyone on that list had years of racing under their belts before I even bought my first bike as an adult.

Not an excuse or anything, just that I don't consider myself in their company (never have held myself out to be) and wouldn't expect to be there anytime soon....if at all.

I have a pretty imbalanced life that doesn't skew in the direction of cycling and won't for the foreseeable future.

Dang, now I feel bad! You know I'm just playing with you, in the last day all of your posts have left the door wide open, ...fish in a barrel!

...now buck up and get back in the saddle! You've come a long way very quickly so pick your chin up off the floor and focus, young man! Life will always throw you curve balls but you have to carve out some time for yourself and come up with creative ways to make progress.

i'm rolling the short route at a chill pace. i had a massive lung infection and 10 days worth of antibiotics 2 weeks back so i'm not in 90 mile condition plus i am not in the same league as that hammer group.

come be my boi bain.

I'm not in the hammer group, but they better not flat. How devastating would that be for one them to get beat by my fat ass. Is there not an obese icon eating a Twinkie?

Rode the short route tonight. Good route for sure. Its gonna hurt. We did it in just at 3 hours on cross bikes. I wouldn't recommend riding a road bike, as its alot of gravel, and some sections of it, the gravel is pretty size-able, so I'd say a high likelyhood of flatting (ymv) . Pretty much all gravel after mile 12, and some sections before mile 12.

...after about 7 miles we were thinking where is the gravel? Then again at mile 10, then we finally got to some smooooooth packed fast gravel, then around mile 12 we hit it and it was game on. The ride tonight burned a lot of gas, there's no hiding in the gravel and the wind was ...strong. The two of us finished in 3:06 with no drafting, a couple of pee breaks, and minor miss direction (my fault). I'm saying this because with daylight, some drafting, and no stops the short course should be under 3 hours.

Great course Kev, & I've only seen half of it so far!

can i pass our entries to some teammates that want to ride?

The wind and hills were a bitch on this heavy beast yesterday. Converted to tubeless last night and ready now for the leisure class.

There's a Shell station on the corner that we have permission to use for overflow parking. Two shitters and a urinal and then whatever is in the women's restroom. Just buy a pack of gum or something if you need to use it. Not a specific request from them just as a courtesy.

Thanks Kevin. Epic day. The wind was a great idea.

I am not sure I can walk today.

Great pics, looks like a good turnout.

Well done Spinistry, and riders.
