We have a staging venue (Just North of Sanger on I35) and a "short" 45ish mile route and a longer 85ish mile route. We'll be able to route this where we'll have an aid station about 27 miles in and the long route will hit again about 65 miles in. This isn't as hard as the Red River Riot but it won't be a beginner route. If you can do the Goatneck metric century without hitting every aid station you'll be fine on the 45 mile route. 85 mile route is only recommended for folks that are comfortable doing true 100 miler centuries and/or comfortable doing 6 hours solo mtb. This is such a cool route I'm going to offer some sort of money back guarantee. We'll probably have to limit entries as well since the staging area will have limited parking. Seriously, set aside the date...this will be a good one. 2/4/12

I like it.
Aside from the pit stop you are putting up, what other amenities are available on the route?

There's a Church's Fried Chicken and a Subway at the staging venue. This one doesn't even go by a church so there is nothing on the route itself. A fairly short detour will get long routers to Muenster but it would add mileage.

Route currently misses Muenster by 1 mile. I think we'll end up routing through Muenster.

edit...aid station @ 27.8 miles, Muenster @ 50.3 miles, aid station @ 70.6 miles, finish @ 91.03 miles

Goodness. I don't think only pussies do OC...it's just that I'd rather spend the marital equity on Syllamo's this year. Hell I may end up regretting it.

Nevertheless - Kev - this looks like it will be closer to town than San Antonio (Alsatian Omnium), so it probably wins. I need to get fit on my cross bike.

Moving the date to Sunday 2/5. And yeah, we'll be giving away an Orbea.

If they put in anymore road for the OC it will be for just Johnny's.
