Next year can we route around the pack of inbred dogs. Fighting off 15 dogs is no fun and might be 30 dogs by next year.
All the dogs were friendly out there! Shannon, you have got to get over your phobia! Dogs barking at you is not fighting off a bunch of wild, vicious, crazy dogs. I've never seen such a big man so scared of barking dogs

be nice if you could back the date up a month to get more predictable cooler weather.

April 7, 2012

i know you can't accomadate all, but that date will probably be within a week or two of the oc.

also, any date in April and the likely hood of really warm or hot temps are a real possibility. atleast on singletrack, you get periods of shade where you don't on gravel, dirt, or road.

thanks for the great event this year.

You know my rear tire wasn't holding before, so I had to add air I think three times, but other than that no issues. Schwalbe marathons 38s.

I used the Hutchinson Bulldog CX tyre with some Stans and Dura-ace tubeless rims (45/55 psi).Good enough for the 71 mile morning half. Might not be great for repeated rides like that. Then I went home, spent.

The PACC road guy Mike (or Steve, 2 first names kill me) on the Colnago road bike had Specialized Gator skins (maybe 25s). He did fine for the 71 morning route. We all expected him to crash or flat. His only real issue was a 39X23 climbing gear. Super good guy.

Big ups to you guys that did the double. Especially KOM Brandish, He pushed the pace the whole morning even with the extra 5 miles. Only guy in the top 5 in the morning that went back out. I think he weighs about 110 lbs now.

That was Mike Steves, yep, he ran 25's.

When are you guys gonna learn, PACC is synonymous with Super Good Guys. Well, now that Yater has moved on, HA!

Pinch flat on Schwable CX 38's at 55 pounds. They've been flawless at 60 psi tubed so I thought I'd go down a notch and it pinched in less than 10 miles.

Marco flatted 5 times in the morning at 45 psi on 32's I think but he pushed it up to 55 in the afternoon no flats but I doubt he weighs 130.
