Date Announced - March 7

I plan on doing this next year. It comes around in March. It's a 100mi road race with a few gravel roads thrown in the mix. Since it's in LA and MS I'd expect most of the roads to be shitty. Sounds like just the sort of epic dipshittery that would bring a smile to my face.

Interested. Would you ride a cross bike, given the gravel part of the course?

Seems like most people just put some "fat" tires on their road bike. I believe only ~10mi or so are gravel. Not really certain how the rest of the roads are, but I'd assume there is a good mix of old asphalt. The spirit of the ride is similar to the European races that take you down old cobble stone roads.

Not if you plan on winning.

Bicycle Magazine did a write up a coulpe years ago about this ride- seems they called it a must do- fantastic vistas and a little out of the norm...but I wanna say there was more dirt than just a "couple small stretches"- same in the video.
